Attack description :
Recent alerts indicate a rise in targeted Denial-of-Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) activities in the United States. Several organizations across different industries have been affected by these incidents, resulting in disruptions to regular operations and potential financial costs.
Among the targeted organizations, Stripe, a popular online payment processing platform, was one that experienced such attacks, as claimed by Anonymous Sudan.
DoS and DDoS activities aim to disrupt the normal functioning of networks, services, or servers by overwhelming them with excessive internet traffic. While these incidents can cause temporary operational disruptions and potential financial implications, they can be managed effectively with the appropriate response measures.
As per evidence shared by Anonymous Sudan, Stripe suffered DDOS attack which rendered inaccessible, impacting all of its subpages, leading to a period of downtime.
Take away: As Anonymous Sudan claimed they would target payment related platform. It seems like this one that target set by them.
